The design agency, Teehan + Lax, has a fantastic company story on their website. So straightforward and human, and clean-looking to beat the band, too.
Too often, we seem to think that company stories need to be chock-full of buzzwords and complexity. Theirs is relaxed and honest. Transparent. All those good-connotation business words.
Heads of small companies seem so often to be trying to hide the size of their organization, keeping clients and number of projects under wraps. It’s certainly a judgment call, but isn’t it easier and generally preferable to use small size/agility as a selling point? As for Teehan + Lax, I’d love to know how they talked about the size of their company and the number of clients they had when they were just starting out.
